Our flexibility and advanced expertise as workers' compensation third party administrators (TPA) enables us to create customized claims management solutions to meet your needs. We will work with you to customize your program, which may include RTW, ADR, emergency response, and training programs.
Two critical components of our service model are people and a collaborative process. Experienced people committed to providing exceptional customer service achieve extraordinary results.
The InterConnect Program is an informal claims resolution process put into place to expedite the handling and closing of claims outside of a formal dispute resolution process. The program allows our adjusters to visit your injured workers onsite and work directly with them to handle and resolve their claim issues. These meetings allow the adjuster and the injured worker to discuss workers' compensation benefits, any questions or concerns the injured worker may have about his or her claim, and how best to resolve the claim.
Through these pro-active efforts, Intercare adjusters are able to enhance communication with injured workers, reduce the number of "problem cases," lower litigation rates, close claims faster, and minimize financial exposure for our clients.
The InterAct Program brings key parties together to discuss a claim's status, medical management plans, return-to-work possibilities, settlement strategies, and other issues.
These roundtable discussions are attended by Intercare's claims team, managed care nurses, defense attorneys, employer representatives, and other vendor representatives as appropriate.
Together, we analyze an individual claim to develop a collective strategy for medical management, cost containment, and the ultimate goal of resolution and closure.
Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Services
Intercare provides an in-house special investigation unit (SIU) that ensures that fraudulent behavior is identified and dealt with appropriately and satisfies mandated state requirements for fraud investigations. Our SIU services unit is responsible for directing the investigations on all fraud related matters, filing the state-required FD-1 forms and preparing files for submission to the appropriate district attorney for prosecution.
